I have always liked stain glass. They are always beautiful, tells a story and makes a room colorful and feel magical. At least to me it has always been that way. In todays world it might be a little too old school for most people. But I had always found them beautiful and desired to one day have one in my own home.

I don't have the skills to do stain glass but I did see how a master put stain glass together on TV once and something clicked with me.

The Holy Spirit showed me how we are like stain glass. You see the master first draws out their desired design on a sheet. Then they choose the right glass and color that they need for their project. Next they will brake the glass to the exact shape that they need. Then they adjust the glass to the exact shape and place it on the sheet. When the time is right they will bind all the different glasses together. The end resalts is a master peace.

So this is what the Holy Spirit showed me. When we feel broken we can remind ourselves that as His children we can trust His hand to put our broken pieces back together in a master peace just like stain glass. He knows exactly where to put that broken situation so that it can be mended into a new place and seen in a different way. Once we allow Him to complete the master peace just like the stain glass His light will shine and everyone will see His glory. Everyone will see His splendor through you. And look how beautiful it will all come out to be as the colors shine the room.

I think God sees us all as one big picture and He knows exactly where to put us at the right time and place. If we can just learn to trust Him we could be part of His masterpiece.

We have the choice to be part of the stain glass and make a room breathtaking and colorful. If only we can trust Him to put us back together according to His plan. It might not how we think it should look like and we might get to see the big picture ever. But others will. Someone somewhere will get to see the working progress that God is working on you.

But will you lesson to when someone reminds you how beautiful/handsome you are? Will you hear when someone complement on how strong you are and how unique you are? I hope you do. I hope that the next time you see stain glass that you are reminded that your brokenness has a home and a perpous in God's hand.
